Manual Lymphatic Drainage - Combined Decongestive Therapy (CDT)
Susan Relph MAR., MLDuk,(CDT)
Manual
Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) (developed by Dr Emil Vodder and
his wife Estrid in France in the 1930s) is a unique form of
massage which has been devised to stimulate the lymphatic
fluid and encourage the lymph to move freely around the
lymphatic system. This renews, nourishes, strengthens and
regenerates the cells of the human body, MLD also helps with
the removal of waste products and excess fluid build-up from
the system.
I have been involved in massage and nutrition for the past 10 years.
Undertaken comprehensive training and achieved experience in
many facets and conditions aligned to Manual Lymphatic
Drainage, using the world renowned Casley-Smith technique in
lymphoedema and multi-layered bandaging, treating patients
on a private basis with primary and secondary lymphoedema at
the Lessness clinic, Bexleyheath, The Bexleyheath
Chiropractic clinic and Herbs, Gardens and Health, St.Peters,
Broadstairs in Kent, England.
If a patient's circumstances are such
that they require their condition to be treated at home this
can also be accommodated.
I have also treated many patients with MLD aiding and healing after cosmetic
surgery which they have found very beneficial in reducing
the swelling.
